NICKELODEON COOKS UP SOME MAGIC IN TALIA IN THE KITCHEN, NEW DAILY SCRIPTED SERIES BOWING MONDAY, JULY 6, AT 7:30 P.M.

New Series Launch Follows Anticipated Fourth and Final Season Premiere

of Daily Hit Every Witch Way at 7 p.m. (ET/PT)

Santa Monica, Calif. – June 30, 2015 – An aspiring chef discovers if she wants to be the best, she will need a dash of magic in Talia in the Kitchen, Nickelodeon’s newest live-action, daily scripted series debuting Monday, July 6, at 7:30 p.m. (all times ET/PT), following the season-four premiere of the daily scripted hit Every Witch Way at 7 p.m.  Talia in the Kitchen is the story of 14-year-old Talia Parra (Maria Quezada), who discovers that she can cook just what each customer needs with her magical spices.

Filmed in Miami, Fla., Talia in the Kitchen (20 half-hour episodes) will air Monday-Friday at 7:30 p.m. after the fourth and final season of Every Witch Way (20 half-hour episodes). Each episode from both series will be available on Nick.com, the Nick App and Nick On Demand one day following their linear TV premieres. Talia in the Kitchen was created by Catharina Ledeboer and produced by Nickelodeon Latin America, the team also behind Every Witch Way.

Talia in the Kitchen is great, fun storytelling that combines some of the trends that kids today love, like cooking, magic and wish fulfillment and, as always, comedy,” said Russell Hicks. “Pairing Talia with Every Witch Way creates a full hour of daily format viewing, which our audience has an enormous appetite for due to the success of our other daily hits like Make It Pop and House of Anubis.”

Talia in the Kitchen follows Talia as she discovers her passion for cooking after moving in with her eccentric grandmother (Jeanette Lehr) and her brainy little sister, Julie (Galilea Lasalvia). With the help of her friends (Ellis Ann Jackson and Joshua Hoffman) and her late father's magical spices, Talia tries to revive the family’s restaurant business with food that literally stirs people’s emotions.  However, she must overcome competition from a local eatery owned by the rival Fuccinelli family: food snob Debbie (Gail Soltys), heartthrob Tyson (Liam Obergfoll) and head chef Frenchie (Miguel Luciano).

Every Witch Way begins its fourth and final season July 6th on a high note, having ranked number one in its timeslot with both kids and tweens during its third season.  The high-stakes finale season follows 14-year-old Emma Alonso, who after standing up to the Witches Council, is more powerful than ever before. She's taking charge as The Chosen One and pushing the limits of what her magic can do. Friendships will be tested, enemies will be made and the Magic Realm will be changed forever. Every Witch Way is written by Catharina Ledeboer (Grachi, Talia in the Kitchen, General Hospital) and produced by Nickelodeon Latin America and Cinemat.

2015 Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards

The kids choice awards was extremely fun! I was very excited because I was about to walk on the orange carpet for the first time! We were interviewed by many many country networks. Even CNN News!

Then we all walked to the actual building where the awards take place. Even though Every Witch Way didn’t win, it was so cool to be nominated for best kids show.   But thats ok! I got to meet so many amazing people from other Nickelodeon Shows! It was really cool and a great experience!

Inside The GBK Gift Suite

The cast of Nickelodeon’s “Every Witch Way,” nominated for Favorite Kids TV Show, were also full of enthusiasm and charisma. Louis Tomeo is “most excited to see everybody get slimed,” especially his costar Rahart Adams, who plays a character that Louis’ charater is not a “big fan of.” What Louis was a big fan of were the Heely’s and even referred to himself as the Master. Other cast members shared their own take on getting slimed: Jackie Frazey “loves messy stuff” and explained it would be the “best thing for me ever,” whereas Ethan Estrada exclaimed “oh my god…I'm just gonna freak out because I don’t like getting dirty at all.” One thing they all had in common was how they couldn't wait to meet this year's host, Nick Jonas. Jackie mentioned that she couldn't wait to snag a photo with the chart-topping heatthrob.

When it came to their favorite parts of the gift suite, Ethan appreciated the Stop-Attack sponsor, an assault-response application, for the sole reason to “protect other people." Jackie raved about all the “creative new ideas that we get to put it into our new world with new technology and new clothing and new ideas.” One of these innovations included the Audiopark, stylish headphones that transform into a bracelet as well.
